Niagara Mohawk Building - Syracuse NY

The Niagara Mohawk Building is an art deco classic building in Syracuse, New York. It is a building of the Niagara Mohawk power utility company. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Niagara Hudson Building in 2010. The building was built in 1932. It was headquarters for what was "then the nation's largest electric utility company

Condition: The original condition of stainless steel and aluminum around the entire building was in fair condition and was not cleaned since the 1970's for the most part.    We were hired to clean all the exterior aluminum and stainless steel trim throughout the building and around the detailed facade.

Solution: The job took several months working on suspended scaffolding throughout the entire building.   All the aluminum was properly cleaned and coated with a wax coating to prevent further corrosion.
